Even More Books

I finished Ilona Andrews' novella Questing Beast,(sci-fi) and it was good, and very cute. I liked the variety of creatures and although the world they were in was confusing at first, once i caught on the read was enjoyable. I especially liked the trogmots or 'fuzzies' as they were sometimes called. *mook-mook* :P I wish it had been longer though, it would have been nice to see what Ilona could have done with the world the characters inhabited. The entire thing, though wonderful, felt rushed and because of that i give it 7/10 stars.
I also read Cynthia Eden's Eternal Hunter. It was free for the kindle, so I downloaded it, and Loved It! I would classify it as Urban Fantasy/Romance(Rated R). I'd give it 10/10 stars, because it kept me entertained and i definately didn't see that twist at the end coming. Hell i didn't see half the twists the author managed to throw in coming. I don't have time to review it right now, but i will most definately write up a review and post it before the week is out.

More books

So, now that i've finished reading both Heist Society and White Cat, I'm moving on to, Sherrilyn Kenyon's Born of Night, and 2 anthologies, Unusual Suspects and Unbound. They look promising. I'm also going to upload Ilona Andrews' Questing Beast to my kindle. I'll probably finish one of them today, and i'll post a review of it later. :)

Book Review: White Cat

In a world where the slightest brush of a fingertip can bring you the best luck of your life, or kill you instantly, it's best to handle everything with kidd gloves... Literally.

Cassel Sharpe comes from a family of highly talented curse workers. However he's the only one of his family without a talent. His mother can manipulate emotions, his grandfather deals death with the brush of a fingertip, his father, before he died, was a luck worker, as is his brother Barron, and Phillip is a knee-breaker for the head of the curse worker mafia. But Cassel has no talents, and he killed his best friend, the only girl he ever loved, Lila Zacharov, the 'mob' boss's daughter.

A few years later he begins sleepwalking again, almost throwing himself off the roof of his boarding school, where he has gone to escape his crazy family life. When his brother Phillip comes to pick him up and take him back to their childhood home, Cassel begins to notice things he never noticed before about his family. This is when he starts to realize that everything may not be how he remembers it, and maybe he isn't a killer after all.

I really enjoyed this book, although the ending isn't happily ever after, and reminded me of the feelings i got after reading Melissa Marr's Wicked Lovely, although much less distressing, I loved the book and hope Holly Black adds another book or two to the series. Cassel was a fun witty character, and i would definately enjoy reading more of his adventures.
